Nonhuman | Lion × human | Size difference
In 2098, the outbreak of World War III caused the population to plummet. With no other choice, scientists began modifying animals, using drugs to turn them into human forms and grant them social abilities equal to those of humans. They became known as beastfolk.
Keer never dreamed he would see Yuan Su again, let alone on the day he transformed into a lion.
Only after he was taken to the Beast Taming Center and given a sedative did he see the man trying to soothe him when his blindfold was removed: Yuan Su, the beast tamer.
After five years apart, they deserved a more dignified reunion.
A new lion had arrived at the Beast Taming Center. Apparently, it had suddenly gone berserk while transforming and injured someone.
Yuan Su was sent to calm it down.
But something felt strange. The lion smelled a lot like the orange cat he'd lost five years ago. Distracted, Yuan Su gave the lion's belly a rub. So soft.
Taming beasts isn't hard. Just put on a specially made collar, and any wild animal will become utterly docile. However, the technology does have a drawback:
When these beastfolk take human form, their memories of being tamed make them especially dependent on their beast tamer. They may even develop feelings for them.
Later, at the Beast Taming Center, Yuan Su was held in the arms of a tall man.
Beastfolk have a natural advantage in size. At nearly two meters tall, the man made Yuan Su look like a delicate figurine. A flick of his fingers could pose Yuan Su however he liked.
Yuan Su couldn't take it anymore and tried to escape, but the man grabbed him by the ankle and pulled him back.
This time, the man put away his fangs and pressed a gentle kiss to the snow-white tip of his foot.
"All right, I'll be gentler."
