Transfer student Xia Ji arrives at Nan Ting High School’s top class with perfect grades, only to be soundly beaten in the first monthly exam by Xie Yunzhou, the undisputed number one for as long as anyone can remember.
One is a transfer student hiding a secret; the other is a cool, quiet top student who always ranks first. As they sit side by side and their rivalry intensifies, their clashes in the exam hall give way to studying together late into the night. On the road to chasing higher scores, they gradually come to understand the unspoken determination and tenderness in each other’s eyes. It turns out the greatest competition is about more than red check marks on an exam paper. It’s also about growing together and choosing each other.
Their relationship is discovered in their senior year, and they’re forced to separate. They meet again seven years later.
Thankfully, neither of them could let the other go...
