The Qing Dynasty: Emperor Kangxi's Favored Consort

Si Yu transmigrates into the Kangxi Emperor's harem as an unnamed, untitled, unfavored palace maid assigned to his bedchamber.

What kind of life does an unfavored maid in the bedchamber lead?

She shares a room with three others, gets only two meals a day, and has to wear plain, oversized clothes while taking turns working with the other maids. At night, she also has to sleep with Kangxi.

Si Yu: This is so miserable, truly miserable. Even modern-day wage slaves don't have it this bad!

So, for a room of her own, meat with every meal, pretty clothes, and freedom from work, Si Yu decides she's going to become the emperor's favorite consort!
