Bound to a Love-Brained System, I Became a Top-Tier Idol
Wu Baiyu was widely regarded at MS as “the trainee who came closest to debuting, but never made it.”
“He was practically a main dancer in the making, and his vocals were solid too. He’s got a great figure. What a shame he didn’t debut!”
“What’s there to regret? His face is so average.”
“An idol’s looks are everything. If you don’t have the face, even great skills won’t help.”
Just as he was packing his things and preparing to find a steady job, he was reborn on the very day the company first introduced him to the public, and bound to a love-brained System.
System: “Say a romantic line to your target!”
Wu Baiyu: “Thanks, but I just want to debut.”
System: “Complete the mission to unlock a five-point boost to your looks!”
Wu Baiyu turned to the fans supporting him, his smile sincere and open. “Thank you for your support! I won’t let you down!”
System: [Ding! Target’s heart is fluttering. Host’s attractiveness +5! Wait... this doesn’t seem to be going the way it should?]
Seeing his brighter skin and healthier complexion in the mirror, Wu Baiyu decided to work hard for his dream one more time!
And so...
The idol world gained a monster who “used his good looks to get away with murder”:
His beauty was so extraordinary that he made everyone else look like nothing.
His talent was just as incredible. His live vocals sounded like a CD, and singing and dancing through ten songs in a row was no big deal. His performances became legendary.
He was also so good to his fans that he became known as a model idol in the Chinese entertainment industry.
Soon, fans of modern and period romance dramas alike began making desperate pleas:
“When will Wu Baiyu star in a romance drama?”
“I need Wu Baiyu’s face to save my eyes after being tormented by ugly male leads.”
“Please! Even if he’s a block of wood, he’s still way better than all the other blocks of wood!”
Later, whenever people recalled the artists who could truly be called “multi-talented stars” of the Z era, Wu Baiyu’s name was the first to come to mind.
But Wu Baiyu had another title too: “The man who doesn’t know how handsome he is.”
“Being the ultimate love-brain just means I love my fans, and my fans love me too.”
[No romance, career-focused story, mainly about the protagonist’s growth as an idol and his time on a talent show. Later, it will also cover acting and other fields.]
[Inspired by the Korean and Chinese entertainment industries, but no real-life celebrities are involved! No real-person models!]
Synopsis:
After his favorite boy band of ten years collapsed in scandal, Yu Xian angrily became a fan no more. Then, in a single moment, he transmigrated into a book and became the “fifth member” in a fanfic he had once written!
Looking at the four disgraced members before him:
The face of the group, whose cool persona was ruined after he insulted the staff.
The rapper, who smoked indoors and tossed cigarette butts around until he lost his voice.
The leader, who secretly dated a fan, got married early, and had two kids in three years.
And the prince-like lead vocalist, who had descended from his lofty status to experience idol life.
Yu Xian sneered. The group was already in ruins, so they might as well start over and work their way up.
He could handle the endless music show schedule, knew exactly how to play up the chemistry on variety shows, and could easily get a fancam a million views!
Marketing, fighting antis, controlling the comments: who didn’t know how to do that?
But the harder he worked, the stranger the group’s love-triangle drama became:
The leader loosened his tie. “I don’t want you carrying everything alone.”
The prince-like vocalist grabbed his wrist. “I’ll teach you the chorus of the new song by myself.”
The face of the group’s ears turned red. “I bit you last time... This time, you can bite me back.”
The rapper stammered, “I-if you want to learn rap, y-you can consider asking me.”
Yu Xian ran as soon as he got off the stage. This love-brained boy band is doomed!
“Please respect the fact that I’m purely career-minded. Thank you.”
#We said we’d reach the top together, but you all want to drag me off my pedestal#
#How hard is it for a career-focused workaholic to come out on top in a love-triangle mess?#
Notes:
1. No talent show.
2. A fictional mashup of the Chinese, Korean, and Japanese entertainment industries.
3. Boy bands inevitably play up same-sex chemistry, but don’t worry: I can’t promise that about the others, but the protagonist is purely career-minded.
4. The protagonist has a bit of a heartthrob aura.
5. He might act in dramas while working as an idol, but the story will mainly focus on his idol career.
6. A silly, satisfying story meant for fun.
Theme: Your career is the only thing that won’t betray you.
This is indeed quite real. Even in a good team atmosphere, conflicts will arise due to real interests. However, the protagonist has paid enough. He writes lyrics and music and works hard to lead the group's popularity. In other words, without the protagonist, it will be as confused as in the previous life. If Daoyun can't get it back, I don't recommend the protagonist to show his kindness. Originally, the protagonist doesn't owe him anything, so he should adjust his mentality on these things by himself 🤔. The sales volume has been equally divided, and the big top money has been shared with you. You are still blaming yourself. It is normal that no one else shines. If you still want to stay in a group, you have to learn to adjust yourself.
This Agent Wu is a bit too boring for me and talks so much about unity, team spirit and team spirit. I simply cannot treat everyone equally and fairly. It would be better if you could keep your word. However, he is still partial and crooked, giving all his favoritism to Jiang Daoyun and completely ignoring the treatment of the other people. For his own future, he asks for songs from the girl group and does his job, but his own boy band is not so attentive.
When will Wu Hu be replaced? I'm so speechless. When I was on the rise, I would only pray to gods and pray to the big boss to come back. I would talk about dreaming and working hard. In fact, I need connections but no connections and ability but no ability. I am partial and crooked. I daydream about leading a new group all day long. In fact, I haven't even done the work of the group. It is Peng who leaked public opinion and took care of the artist's body and mentality. So why should he do it and get the performance commission for free?
I saw that the author said it was almost finished, so I talked about my feelings (here I am the protagonist controller, super protagonist controller). I think this book is very good at controlling the protagonist. In the early stage, everyone is focused on the protagonist, and in the later stage, I will briefly talk about the surrounding people and the development, and it does not compete too much with the protagonist. I think this is good. The two people who have the most scenes around me, I think they get along well. It's comfortable. So far, I haven't felt that the protagonist has been hurt in any way, because everything can be solved now, he doesn't care, and he doesn't hurt himself. In the end, although the writing is relatively green, I feel that if I am interested in this subject and the protagonist is in control, I can read this book. It is not particularly outstanding, but there are no particularly big surprises. I think it is quite good!
I'm really looking forward to how Xiaoyu will play the role of a promiscuous nobleman 💪 PS: Conflict of interest ignores friendship and responsibility. It's disgusting to work with this kind of person. In the future, when we form a group, we won't have to work together to sell the group soul.
Wu Hu is a bit annoying. I feel like he will lose his popularity for the so-called group soul balance.
I see, I asked why Wu Hu jumped so high in the last chapter But I do feel that Xiao Yu now needs a personal agent who is on his side.
[Hold your chin] Just thank Peng Wen. Xiao Yuer is too decent. Wu Hu doesn't deserve to be in the acceptance speech at all. He doesn't do anything serious and is holding back his bare back.
I don't plan to open the second part of Xiaoyu, because I think it's too hasty. I follow this one every day. I think it's so delicious. This meal 😭 😭
Zhou Yan's kick felt great. Extreme existences such as illegitimate children are considered KB elements, and they have no gender identity to maintain.
