Luring Her into Ruin

Gu Huaizhi is a man whom the powerful and influential of Chongguang City all vie to flatter. One day, he happens upon a bewildered little sparrow. The sparrow has a nest. At first, he only wants to borrow it for a while, secretly sneering that a sparrow is no rare bird and hardly worth keeping. But the sparrow won't be tempted, so he can only tear apart her nest and seize her, using money and power to corrupt her heart and make her sink into a luxurious cage. She falls into the trap of love and can never spread her wings and fly away again. But the sparrow remains clear-eyed, longing only for freedom. In the end, he is the one who drowns. Content warnings: 1. Written to indulge a particular fetish; the characters' morals are shattered. 2. Neither the male nor female lead is a good person. It's especially fair that way.
