Xu Jianyi was in the final lifetime of her hundred lifetimes of good deeds, on the verge of achieving enlightenment, when a sudden disaster took her life. Countless good deeds and karmic ties protected her, keeping her from vanishing from the world for the time being.
But why had no one come to guide her yet?
Xu Jianyi planned to hitch a ride with someone else's ghost escort to the underworld and be reborn. She never expected to run into someone who had kidnapped a person and was about to kill them to silence them. How could she let that happen?
Xu Jianyi rushed forward at once and, with a wave of her hand, rescued the hostage. Then she awkwardly realized she didn't seem able to turn back into a spirit.
She had no choice but to take the form of a blue dragon plushie and coax the little girl. "Actually, I'm the divine dragon of our Xia Kingdom. I came here specially to save you."
The police, arriving at top speed: "A dragon? Do you really think we'd believe that?"
After some discussion, they did believe her. Xu Jianyi took up her post as a divine beast, with official credentials.
Whenever the nation is in trouble, Xu Jianyi will go to any lengths to help!
From then on, the people of the Xia Kingdom had a divine beast to call on for everything: droughts? Their divine beast could bring rain! Floods? Their divine beast could control the waters!
