My Mother, Wu Zetian, Empress of the Tang Dynasty

Ding, the Farming and Infrastructure Card.

The female lead has a messy love life, not a one-on-one romance.

When she opened her eyes again, she had transmigrated into a book as a villainess: Li Fuyao, the eldest princess who never existed during Wu Zetian's reign.

Putting aside the idiotic plot that expected her to be a lovesick fool, she counted on her fingers:

Her father was an emperor, her mother was an empress, and she might even become emperor herself someday. Making her shower the male lead with money, power, and connections was like Wu Zetian becoming a widow: losing Li Zhi.

She decided... to lie down and wag her tail at her mother.

She was determined to be a total mama's girl, keep her mother happy, enjoy the good life, and coast through life with every advantage.

After all, that was Wu Zetian.

With her knowledge of history, Fuyao thrived in the Tang Dynasty.

This time, there were no extreme natural disasters or fearsome monsters, just the soft, warm embrace of her mother.

At first, Fuyao only wanted to wag her tail obediently at Wu Zetian, stay out of worldly affairs, and live out a quiet life.

Her biggest daily dilemma was what to eat and drink, and who to hire for a night of fun.

But... watching Wu Zetian's hunched back beneath the late-night candlelight as she praised the literary style of memorials insulting her, Fuyao finally understood how hard it was for her mother to survive in the men's game of power.

Fuyao thought she might be able to serve as a good shield.

Even if history condemns us, my mother and I will bear the blame together.
