Who'll Give Me a Million?

AI has been advancing rapidly lately, and almost every teacher in class hints that even medical students may face unemployment.

Yu Fang once discussed with his roommate, "What should we study so we won't end up unemployed?" Naturally, they couldn't come up with an answer. Rather than worrying about that, he might as well visit Lingshun Temple and pray for wealth. Maybe he could buy a lottery ticket on the way back and win a million.

If he had a million, Yu Fang said, he'd rent a thirty-square-meter apartment, then sweep the streets, sell roasted sweet potatoes, wait tables, deliver takeout, make coffee and milk tea... Anything but medicine.

Clinging to his impractical dream, Yu Fang bought a three-yuan starch sausage at the snack street, then, as if in a trance, was drawn to a crowd of people scratching lottery tickets.

Ten yuan a ticket. He had exactly ten yuan and one mao left from his living expenses.

[An abstract medical student with a bizarre mental state, who'd rather be among the dead and make the dead among the living]

[A mysterious boy whose character will develop with the plot, who loves playing the victim and may have run away from home]

*The idea came from the author, who hasn't entered the workforce yet but is constantly told they'll be unemployed any minute. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.

*Also, can someone give me a million?

Theme: Try living a different kind of life, even if all you have is one yuan.
