A certain historical drama left me so frustrated I nearly had a heart attack. I kept some of its original settings, but completely rewrote the story. This period of history could make for a really exciting palace-intrigue story. There are already plenty of excellent works out there, but I still chose to write palace intrigue from a man's perspective. Of course, the story won't stop at palace intrigue alone. That would be too narrow a scope.
To avoid controversy, some character names have been changed, while a few real historical figures keep their original names.
Female lead: Ulanara Saiyin (sain means good, agreeable, or auspicious in Manchu)
