That "person" curled up weakly on the sofa. Beneath his slightly long black hair, wisps of dark, empty haze crept softly upward.

Fear reached Xia Lian's mind in a different form, and all he could do was helplessly swallow this honeyed candy laced with arsenic, deceived by it.

What is strange about him?

After all, I like him so much... I love him so much...

Xia Lian stared into his strange, dark green eyes, thinking as if hypnotized.

"I can't take my eyes off him. Every moment apart, I think about him constantly. Every time I see him, my heart pounds as if I were dying."

The Matchmaker tied an incredibly passionate red thread for Xia Lian, but his end of it was wrapped tightly around his own neck.

Red Thread: It can ward off evil and harmful spirits, and protect against ghosts and illness.

But the price is that the person who benefits from it will be unable to resist falling in love with the one tied to the other end, whether he is human or... a ghost.

"If one day I lose my human form and become a ghost floating around you, will you still love me?"

His already pale body seemed to have grown even more transparent over the past few days. His damp, green eyes, like a coiled snake, stared unblinkingly at the boy before him.

"Of course." Xia Lian answered without hesitation. After all, wasn't he already a ghost?

"What if one day I become the kind of snake you hate most and coil tightly around you? Will you still love me?"

Xia Lian shivered unconsciously, but still replied:

"Uh... I will."

"What if one day someone chops me up into little pieces? Would you still love me?"

"..."

"Let's eat first," Xia Lian said.

The evil ghost has received a love from the human world, and at this moment, he is willing to surrender to it.

* The bottom is a very rational "hopeless romantic." Even when the red thread affects him early on, he sometimes wonders how he ever fell for this terrible guy...

* Mild supernatural elements, not scary (probably). The author is afraid of ghosts while writing at night, too.

* The pacing is a little slow at first. Impatient readers might want to skip straight to Part Two: Offering Myself to a Ghost.

Lately, I've been really into the image of a bottom who trembles with fear while falling in love. Hehehe.

It's purely a romance, a self-indulgent story written to satisfy my own tastes~
