A Guide to Fantasy World Infrastructure

From the start, he became the lord of a dilapidated estate. Weeds towered over the wheat fields, a hundred-person town reeked to high heaven, and the mountain roads were rough and hard to travel. It was difficult to get in or out, and wild spirits and man-eating tribes lurked nearby, watching like tigers waiting to pounce.

Everyone wondered when Reno, newly granted the Rose Territory, would slink back to the City of Goldenleaf and obediently resume his old role as a useless wastrel.

But in the distant Rose Territory, broad, smooth roads were being laid at an astonishing pace. The land was planted with countless fragrant rose potions, and thousands of townspeople bustled about, building the territory with happy, eager smiles.

All around them were countless little fairies that people fought to buy, willing to throw down a fortune for one, though they could hardly be found for sale. Even the feared and envied fairies, magical beasts, and bloodline warriors appeared here, as did the legendary dragons said to be capable of founding a nation.

And the one who had made it all happen, the spiritual pillar of the Rose Territory, the supreme honored guest of the merfolk, a dear friend of the dwarves, the dragons' representative, the legendary disinherited heir of Goldenleaf, Reno Goldenleaf, was now opening a yellowed book and picking up a pen to write: "It's hot out. Maybe a glass of ice-cold cola is the best way to beat the heat."

The next moment, a glass of iced cola appeared before him.
