Coming soon:
A powerful-couple setup: a savior with an aloof, untouchable aura x a mad, obsessive, fiercely loyal dog. They love and fight each other, with an intense, angsty romance between two women!
-- Originally titled Calamity of Beauty, this was an old, abandoned project of the author's from ten years ago. The author didn't expect that, after so many years without writing, so many longtime readers would still remember it. To thank everyone for their support, the setting has now been thoroughly revised, and the entire novel is written and ready. If you're interested, please add it to your library. If enough people do, I'll launch it as soon as I can!
-- One of the protagonists has had her name changed. Consider it a lovely crossover for the two ill-fated sisters, Leiyue and Wange, from the historical arc of the author's previous novel, Canshang. (What can I say? Leiyue's name was given away by the heartless author...)
Synopsis:
The moment she took the Fuxi Qin from her mother's hands, Leiyue knew her life had only just begun, and was already over.
She was only twelve.
"Only a pure-blooded descendant of Nuwa can play the Fuxi Qin. Leiyue, in exchange for this supreme divine instrument, you must choose one: loneliness, disability, or confinement."
She looked up. Her mother's pale purple robes fluttered in the wind, while her ink-black hair had, at some point, turned silver-white as snow.
"Leiyue, you must choose!"
Black hair in the morning, snow-white by evening.
That was the only line that came to mind. Clutching the qin, she stood against the wind. "I choose loneliness."
The destiny flowing through her blood could not be uprooted or changed. So she would bring it all to an end herself.
The Nuwa clan had always passed its lineage down one generation at a time. If that rule was ever broken, one of the two descendants would become a calamity who brought disaster to the world, and the Six Realms would seek to kill her.
A calamity? Leiyue lowered her eyes with calm indifference, but all they held was a little girl with her hair in two buns, lovely as a flower.
Until fate's hand finally reached that moment...
Her sister, missing for three years, had become a princess, second only to the queen in the Snake Demon Clan. "On the guimao day of the new moon, the moon wanes." Wange glanced at her, her eyes full of disdain and mockery. "Sister, you're at the end of your rope."
In the next moment, a merciless burst of murderous energy pierced her already battered body.
"What... do you want..."
A soft tongue slowly lapped up the scarlet blood seeping from her heart. Wange smiled coldly. "I want you."
Premise: A beauty is like a flower beyond the clouds.
