Who's Really Your Best Friend? [Quick Transmigration]

The Quan Xi Korean entertainment quick-transmigration version (it might also be slow transmigration): It will mention the original female-to-male transmigration setup from the earliest version, but, like in the old story, it won't receive much emphasis.

[Synopsis]

On a day when he didn't necessarily want to die, but didn't particularly feel like trying hard to live either,

Quan Xi heard a strange voice and thought he might have developed a mental illness.

The System, which called itself his "good friend," explained that if he went to small worlds and completed assigned missions, he could make one wish. He could even bring some of his family members back to life on another world's timeline.

Even if it was all a delusion brought on by mental illness, Quan Xi chose "Accept."

And then something extraordinary happened.

First world [Trainee "eliminated" before BigBang's debut, failed version]:

Kwon Ji-yong (slightly dark version): "You clearly don't really love me, but I still want to believe you. And then..."

Second world ["Staff member" by a superstar's side, successful version]

Kwon Ji-yong: "That's right, everyone. I have a very close Chinese friend."

[Stories for other friends to be added, order undecided] Lee Soo-hyuk, Jay Park, Park Hae-jin, some boy bands, certain Korean drama characters... and more to come.

The System occasionally watched Quan Xi gain friendship points and scratched its head in confusion. "Wait, who's gaining whose friendship points? Also, corrupted friendship points don't count!"

Pure friendship, with both healing stories and intensely twisted, darkening ones.

A sudden idea, just leaving it here. I thought I'd never write Korean entertainment fiction again (eating my words).

1. Everyone except Quan Xi will definitely be out of character. My apologies in advance (fist clasped).

2. Lots and lots of headcanon. The timeline may be chaotic, all in service of the story. Please don't nitpick the details.

About female-to-male transmigration: This is the story of how my thinking has changed over the years. In 2013, I wanted to write a Korean entertainment story about men loving men for the first time, but in my outline I thought only women could have more delicate inner lives, so the early version of Quan Xi was a woman who transmigrated into a man's body (I answered readers about this at the time). Even in the earliest version, I didn't emphasize or dwell on it much, but it was part of the setup. Then I got criticized for the female-to-male setup. In later stories in the Quan Xi series, I unconsciously played down or even left out this early detail, and wanted to treat the parallel worlds in the other stories as male-to-male transmigration. Now, years later, the inspiration for this story means I have to mention that setup, and I don't want to avoid it (digging in my heels), so I've decided to stick with the original setup that Quan Xi was a woman who transmigrated into a man's body.

Quan Xi will not turn back at the end. This is still a friendship story (emphasis).

If you've read my earlier stories where this setup wasn't clearly mentioned (such as Shen He) and find this detail unacceptable, I want to apologize sincerely in advance. I'm sorry! (Bows, lies flat, and lets everyone beat me up.)
