She and the Green Mountains

Yue Opera starlet vs. wealthy heir

Synopsis:

When Yun Qingshan was thirteen, she first met Jing Qiuhe.

She heard that Jing Qiuhe was a wealthy young lady who had returned from studying abroad, and the future heir to the Jing Group, with a bright future ahead of her. Yun Qingshan, on the other hand, was merely playing a nameless maid on a Yue Opera stage.

In real life, she had neither father nor mother, and had been adopted by the troupe at Grand View Garden.

They came from completely different worlds, yet Jing Qiuhe picked Yun Qingshan out of the crowd at a glance. From then on, she became a rose Jing Qiuhe carefully nurtured.

Seven years passed. Yun Qingshan had blossomed into a poised and elegant Yue Opera star, radiant and celebrated.

Tickets to her performances were nearly impossible to get, and countless powerful and wealthy men wanted to keep her for themselves. Yet she answered only to Jing Qiuhe. She also brought Jing Qiuhe valuable connections and resources, helping secure her position in the Jing Group.

But good times didn't last. Family conflicts flared up again, and her second uncle obtained evidence that dealt Jing Qiuhe a fatal blow, forcing her to leave the Jing Group.

That was when Jing Qiuhe finally realized that the rose she had nurtured with her own hands...

Had always been a thorn, ready to pierce her at any moment...
