Tomorrow Night, I'll Enter Your Nightmare

As a supernatural creature born with the ability to weave nightmares, Ming Ye can freely switch between three forms:

a black kitten, a human boy, and his true nightmare form.

He knows these three forms hold an irresistible appeal for humans, so he's always lived cautiously and kept a low profile.

In that world, he is the powerful Lord of Nightmares who punishes evildoers.

In the real world, he's just a frail kitten and a pale, sickly-looking human boy.

Then one day, agents claiming to be from a special department showed up at his home.

One of them was utterly cold-blooded. Pointing a gun at him, he said coldly, "Many people have died because of nightmares, and you're the one behind it. You're under arrest."

His sentence would be immediate execution.

Ming Ye thought, Maybe I should just send you all into a massive disaster nightmare!

He spent every day weaving nightmares for you to punish bad people, and this is how you repay him, by framing him!

Just as the situation reached a crisis point, the leader of these cold-blooded elites suddenly appeared and completely changed his tune. "There are hundreds of inmates in a prison trapped in nightmares and on the brink of death. Could you go in and save them?"

After all, it was a nightmare, and no one but a nightmare creature could handle it. If he didn't go, society would descend into chaos.

With a crowd of people staring at him, pleading, threatening, and offering every possible inducement, Ming Ye had no choice but to reluctantly agree.

What else could he do? Make enemies of a group of top fighters?

At least the nightmares were his territory, and he was confident he could handle them.

But as soon as he entered, he realized that the thousands of nightmares he'd woven before were child's play by comparison!

Everyone who had been pulled inside had become a monster with no grasp of normal reality. The place was terrifying and bizarre at every turn, and nothing made any sense.

Meanwhile, he, the nightmare creature, had become the most "dazzling" focal point of all.

Even worse, everything inside was inexplicably being livestreamed.

His secrets, his forms, his powers.

So overnight, he went from an unspeakable "evil spirit" to a Lord of Nightmares with countless so-called "nightmare devotees."

Everyone's attitude changed. Fear and suspicion gave way to frenzied covetousness. Even those cold-blooded agents started using every means at their disposal to become his "guardian"!

But Ming Ye was so busy he could barely keep his head above water, with no time to deal with anything else. Soon, he discovered something even stranger:

The "companion" who had entered with him seemed a little off.

This was supposed to be a top fighter sent by the authorities to assist him, but the person had been replaced by an "unknown creature."

Its true form was unknown, its purpose unclear, and everything about it was bizarre.

Even the officials watching this unfold in the real world thought it was over.

A little nightmare creature whose power was spent was no different from a clueless kitten. He hadn't even realized his companion was an impostor. The other creature might swallow him whole!

But what happened next shocked everyone:

That "person" was actually soothing Ming Ye, who was enraged from extreme exhaustion.

And they were trying very, very hard to soothe him.

They hadn't even exchanged many words before the jumpy little nightmare creature stabbed them straight through with a knife.

In the real world, one urgent directive after another was issued:

[Under no circumstances can we let the little nightmare creature be taken away! Whatever the other party is!]

[All of you, fulfill your duty as his guardians! Use every means to win him over!]

The goal was simple:

They must not let anyone take him away, and they must not let him hate humanity!

[Otherwise, the real world really is finished]

Romance and plot each make up half the story. There's also a subtle everyone-loves-the-protagonist setup, so the protagonist is adored throughout the whole story!! This is important.

An unconventional infinite-world story, with only a few nightmare scenarios interspersed. The pace is fast, and the story isn't long. There's plenty written in advance, too. That's important as well.

The setting is an alternate modern society, unrelated to the real world.
