There was no helping it. After careful consideration, Tsukimiyama Mirai chose play-the-field mode.

Love was too ethereal. Better to be a player and keep both feet on the ground.

But Tsukimiyama Mirai soon discovered a major pitfall in play-the-field mode:

This is ridiculous! The targets refresh at random?!

If she pursued them out of order, she wouldn't just get no points, she'd lose points too?!

Tsukimiyama Mirai cried out in indignation: So what was all my hard work over the past six months for?

System: What else? It proves you're capable.

So the unwillingly capable Tsukimiyama Mirai swiftly dumped her pursuit target, Kenji Hagiwara, then turned around and joined the Black Organization, preparing thoroughly for her second target, Shuichi Akai.

And so Tsukimiyama Mirai began her everyday life as a Black Organization employee:

Going on business trips, completing missions, and writing reports;

Occasionally making sure the organization's employees got decent raises and enough paid leave;

Making grand promises in front of the Boss, and casually inventing development plans for the organization to secure her place as a key member and avoid getting killed one day because Gin took a dislike to her.

But as the organization grew larger and expanded its influence faster and faster,

she realized that the Black Organization seemed to have grown stronger than it was before.

Tsukimiyama Mirai: ...

This probably, should probably, might possibly have nothing to do with her... right?

All she wanted was to complete her pursuit missions!

At some point, the intelligence agencies of every country came to accept a certain fact:

Within the mysterious and powerful Black Organization was someone capable of changing the balance of power in the world.

This person was not known for her physical strength or strategic brilliance. With incomparable computer talent and hacking skills, she had become a nightmare for intelligence agencies worldwide.

Her codename: "Tita."

Fortunately, the undercover agents they'd sent in all reported the same thing:

Tita seemed to have a conscience, and there was a very good chance they could turn her.

The intelligence agencies: What are you waiting for?! Get on it! Use every honey trap you've got, and drag her back if you have to! Understood?

The undercover agents: ...We'll do our best.

Then the intelligence agencies discovered a heartbreaking fact:

The undercover agents who'd gone in intending to turn her seemed to have all fallen for her.

Tsukimiyama Mirai (trying on outfits in front of the mirror): Who should I go out with today?

Shuichi Akai: Christmas is an American holiday, so obviously you'd be better off going on a date with me.

Rei Furuya: Americans, get out of Japan! Tita, you should go on a date with me!

Hiromitsu Morofushi: Mirai, would you like to go see the Christmas Eve illuminations with me?

Kenji Hagiwara: Wait, aren't I Mirai-chan's official boyfriend? Sure, we broke up, but I still have a title. Surely I should be the one to take her out?

Jinpei Matsuda: I won't let you deceive Hagi's feelings again, you terrible woman! So you have to take me with you this Christmas!

Tsukimiyama Mirai: You've all got a point, but dates are secondary. The real question is, who gets to cuddle with me?

Everyone: I do!

Just as she was about to be snatched up by a clueless man, Gin, the Black Organization's hardest worker, sneered. "What's with the holiday? Get back to work."

Tsukimiyama Mirai: ...

She doesn't want to work overtime!!!

Reader's guide [Please be sure to read]:

1. The heroine is extremely Mary Sue and adored by everyone, with lots of inner monologue.

2. The heroine is a genuine member of the Black Organization, though not entirely evil. She's chaotic good, not an absolute paragon, and has a character growth arc.

3. Follows the original's style, with a plot-driven story and romance. The entire Police Academy group gets saved.

4. Lots and lots of dramatic love triangles [highlighted]. Some are based on my personal preferences. If you don't like them, please don't insult the author.

5. I'll try to avoid OOC characterization. If someone is really out of character, you can comment and I'll consider revising it. I'll also try to keep the main story logical. If it really makes no sense, then I probably just couldn't think of a way to fix it.
