-Sorry for changing the blurb. (I'm sorry, but I still can't let go of my Japanese history obsession 😋)
At first, Gojo Satoru only wanted to bribe his upperclassman into writing his mission reports for him.
He didn't know whether it was because he'd caught her polishing a sword, but somehow, he ended up getting dragged into her schemes.
-
When her underclassman offered her a hefty sum, Sugawara Kaoru firmly refused, insisting she had no time.
Her underclassman had money to burn, though, and the second time he named his price, Sugawara Kaoru shamefully found herself tempted. After all, keeping her main business running cost a frightening amount.
She looked her prospective benefactor up and down for a while, then suddenly leaned in and said mysteriously, “Gojo, would you like to visit somewhere a little different?”
Skipping class was shameful.
But Sugawara Kaoru said this was an officially sanctioned absence, and that bringing him along was no problem.
Gojo Satoru was shamefully tempted, too.

The Battle of Dan-no-ura.
Sugawara Kaoru leaned over the side of the boat, watching the battle ahead. Without turning around, she called, “Hurry up and row, junior! Bakumaru's about to fall into the sea!”
Her underclassman, rowing with all his might, shouted, “You! I know!!”
The Siege of Osaka Castle.
Carried by her underclassman, Sugawara Kaoru used his Infinity to pass through the sea of flames and finally found the Ichigo Hitofuri that had been left behind there.
“Found it!” She widened her eyes and slapped her underclassman on the shoulder.
He looked pleased with himself. “I spotted it ages ago. Why else do you think I ran this way?”
The Kyoho era.
Her underclassman watched with interest as Sugawara Kaoru accepted a katana from a merchant. Once they reached a secluded spot, he asked, “Is this the missing Juzumaru Tsunetsugu?”
Sugawara Kaoru nodded. “That's right.”
-
Sugawara Kaoru had been working for the Time Government for several years. Because of her unusual technique, she had been hired as a sword repairer.
Sword repair was not the traditional practice of maintaining swords. She had to travel through different time periods to find swords that had been stranded there by accident or damaged.
The troubles she encountered across different eras were beyond imagination, and Jujutsu High was an excellent place to hone her skills.
When her underclassman came to her, she really was busy. Even after returning to the present from the timeline, she needed time to rest. But she had her eye on his unusual ability.
Sugawara Kaoru was convinced that if her underclassman cooperated sincerely, her work repairing swords would go much more smoothly.
Their partnership did indeed go smoothly, but for some reason, her underclassman grew stranger by the day.
One day, as usual, Sugawara Kaoru found a secluded corner to maintain a sword she had just repaired. When she opened her tool bag, she found a pink envelope lying on top.
Sugawara Kaoru: “?”
She opened it. The sender had signed his full name, in an especially bold hand.

A few things to know before reading:
1. A mature older woman × a cheeky cat-boy pairing, with a journey to find swords. Jujutsu Kaisen probably won't feature too much.
2. Since the story uses the Jujutsu Kaisen setting, sorcerers will be incorporated into the historical timeline.
3. An adventure romance (yes!)
The original blurb described it as a story about traveling around the world with Satoru, a road-trip novel. But the author has realized that as a painfully shy little hermit, they probably can't write even a fraction of the world's beauty. If the horizontal axis won't work, let's try the vertical one instead. In a way, it's still a road-trip novel, but with historical time travel. (Pats belly)
Theme: Love life, and be free for me
