[A receiver who seems like an unmotivated office drone but is secretly a chatterbox × an older pursuer who seems gentle but is actually an ultra-controlling daddy]
Wen Zhiyu is twenty-seven this year, an older unmarried Omega who has never even dated. An office drone and a homebody, he decided long ago that he would never marry.
His family is simple enough: besides his parents, he has an older Alpha brother who wants to try an AA romance and dye his hair pink, and a rebellious, internet-addicted younger Beta brother. Caught between them, Wen Zhiyu is the only one who seems remotely normal, so the family's high hopes fall on him: settle down and build a career as soon as possible.
To escape his family's relentless matchmaking, Wen Zhiyu moves away for work and settles down there.
But you can dodge the first day of the new year, not the fifteenth. When the family gathers for Lunar New Year, his parents and relatives launch an indiscriminate matchmaking offensive against every single person.
When his brothers send out distress signals, Wen Zhiyu resolutely packs his bags and heads home, determined to take the brunt of the "barrage" for them.

Sure enough, as soon as he gets home, he sees a crowd of aunts and uncles seated around a round table, staring at him with bright, intent eyes as they ask, "Little Wen, have you found someone yet?"
His older and younger brothers sit awkwardly on little stools nearby, their heads bowed so low they could bury them in the ground.
After two days at home that feel like an eternity, Wen Zhiyu is just about to buy a train ticket to escape when he turns and catches sight of a handsome, refined-looking Alpha among the guests.
From his hair to his face, from his face to his figure, the man is exactly Wen Zhiyu's type!
Wen Zhiyu has never believed in love at first sight, but his heart races as he sits there in a daze, his mother guiding him to a seat beside the man.
It turns out the man is in the same bind: his mother is pressuring him to go on blind dates and get married, too.
In a flash, Wen Zhiyu feels like betraying the cause. His ears turning red, he asks the polite, gentle Alpha, "Would you be willing to date me? With three rules we both have to follow."
He doesn't dare say the audacious thought that follows: "I wouldn't mind if we turned the act into the real thing, either."

Shen Lin has always been refined and measured around Wen Zhiyu.
Even when Wen Zhiyu forgets his suppressants during heat, Shen Lin asks him several times for permission before giving him a temporary mark. He even apologizes because the bite mark is a little deep.
Wen Zhiyu feels very comfortable around him. His initial attraction gradually deepens into admiration for the man's character.
Just as Wen Zhiyu is about to take the initiative and break the unspoken barrier between them, everything suddenly changes.
He never imagined that this Alpha would be so insatiable during rut. In the end, Wen Zhiyu, who had eagerly thrown himself into the man's arms, is left in tears. Shouting himself hoarse does no good.
Only then does Wen Zhiyu realize that he never saw the real Shen Lin beneath that gentle exterior.
#Being single is nice, but a whirlwind marriage is even better.
#If you knew who I married on a whim, you'd think I was incredibly lucky, too.
