Once upon a time, there was a mountain called Wuyin Mountain. On it stood a Taoist temple called Muxi Temple, where a young Taoist nun named Ai Xin lived. Ai Xin had extraordinary talent, and the other disciples all hoped she would train hard and inherit the position of sect leader from her parents. But Ai Xin had no interest in Taoist arts. She loved reading the popular detective stories in town and even dreamed of becoming a detective. Just then, several strange murders took place one after another, and people suspected demons were responsible. So they asked the renowned Taoists of Muxi Temple to descend the mountain and catch the ghosts. Ai Xin was forced to join them, supposedly to "gain experience in the world." It turned out the culprit was a female ghost. Through talking with her and investigating the case, Ai Xin discovered that the ghost was actually eliminating evil on behalf of the people and putting her own resentment to rest. So Ai Xin decided to get justice for her, and help her cross the Bridge of Helplessness with a satisfied heart!
The mystery-solving and monster-hunting adventure of a coolheaded, slow-witted top and a mischievous bottom begins! What secrets lie beneath the calm surface of this little town? Will Ai Xin realize her dream? Will the female ghost find release?
