World One: Grudge-Holding Doctor Gong × Short-Tempered Merman Shou

Wei Lin was an ordinary researcher at an institute. Day after day, he worked diligently and conscientiously, faithfully sticking to his post.

Then one day, the protagonist gong, a merman, was sent to the institute as a new test subject. The protagonist shou softened and cared for him attentively, winning him over until he would only allow the protagonist shou to approach him for research. They eventually fell for each other and escaped the institute.

As a cannon-fodder background character in the story, Wei Lin was sent straight to his grave with one swish of a tail, just because he had looked at the protagonist gong one too many times.

Life is hard for a wage slave, but wage slaves don't have to accept their fate. Grudge-holding Wei Lin says test subjects should know their place. Why should anyone be taking such good care of him? So he immediately has the protagonist shou transferred to another lab.

Then he sits on top of the barely breathing merman, pins his jaw in place, and asks fiercely, "Didn't you want to kill me? Are you still going to?"

World Two: Heaven's Chosen Gong × Long Aotian Shou

Xie Yufei had thought he was blessed with loving parents and a wealthy family. He had joined a cultivation sect at a young age and was the center of attention. Surely he would attain the Dao, ascend to immortality, and bring honor to his clan.

But then he learned that the girl betrothed to him in childhood was one of the harem members of the Long Aotian protagonist. He would die in a secret realm after being set up by the male lead, and his whole clan would be slaughtered when they tried to avenge him.
