1. When Sui Yue brought her boyfriend home to meet her family, the weather turned against them, and a heavy rain began to fall.
She held her boyfriend's hand. Before she could even take off her damp coat, she spotted a man seated in the living room.
Tan Shi was dressed in a sharp suit, immaculate from head to toe, his watch reflecting a cold glint.
Her mother came over with a smile and said, "What perfect timing. Your brother's here too."
The meal passed in a blur, and her boyfriend whispered awkwardly to Sui Yue that he'd never heard her mention having a brother.
And this brother looked like a suited thug.
Later, as they were leaving, Tan Shi called out to Sui Yue, his gaze cool.
Away from the crowd, in a dim, narrow alley, he rolled up his sleeves and said quietly,
"Break up with him."
Sui Yue refused flatly. "No."
Tan Shi laughed and leaned closer.
"Do you want him to see us kissing?"
2. From the moment Sui Yue entered that white-walled, black-tiled house, she knew she and Tan Shi wouldn't get along.
He blew smoke rings in her face with lazy disdain, and the night before a competition, she broke his bow.
So when, on a sweltering summer day, they were in that cramped attic, breathing in each other's ears, the one who left a mark on her with his kiss definitely wasn't Tan Shi.
Note: They are not registered in the same household and are not related by blood. There are no romantic feelings between them while their familial relationship remains in place.
Also, her brother is a psychopath, and his mental state is absolutely gorgeous.
