# Two Male Leads: Zhang Haiyan x Zhang Haixia
In the rainy season of the Nanyang in the 1940s, Zhang Haiyan and Zhang Haixia are ordered to investigate a mysterious plague. They discover that the blood-red coral branches growing in the infected people's veins point to a shipwreck tomb from the early Ming dynasty. Deep in Borneo's rainforest, inside the wreckage of Zheng He's treasure ship, overturned in a cavern, they fall into a deadly trap built from bloodthirsty coral insects and the secret arts of a shaman.
The blood coral in the tomb can reverse life and death, but it requires someone who shares an emotional bond with the sacrificer. To break the mechanism, Zhang Haixia willingly walks to his death, triggering a memory illusion woven by the swarm of coral insects. Fifteen years of entanglement, from secret weapons clashing on the training grounds to entrusting their lives to each other deep in the rainforest, all becomes poison that the swarm uses to devour their reason. Zhang Haiyan cuts open his heart to take the coral, gambling his life on his symbiotic constitution. Yet amid the agony of their blood entwined, he glimpses the truth: what can rewrite fate has never been sorcery, but the feelings left unspoken beneath the dark tide.
As whale-marrow spider silk tightens around their pressed-together chests, and a rotating chamber recreates the stormy night they spent together in the Gulf of Siam, two hearts wrapped in coral roots resonate at death's door and tear open a path to survival. But symbiosis with the blood coral comes at a price: lost memories, shared pain, symptoms of reversed aging... In the tidal sounds of the Nanyang, the shipwreck tomb conceals not only the secret art of immortality, but also the question of whether people can change their fate for love.
