Suicide Partners [Two Romantic Maniacs]

"More romantic than dying is trying to stay alive for someone."

*

In the autumn of 2025, Tang Qing stood at the edge of a rooftop.

The wind was strong. She felt like a fallen leaf trying to break free from its branch.

She no longer looked forward to dawn. She began to long for eternal silence.

Then she saw Shan Xing.

He was sitting in the most dangerous corner, holding an unopened can of beer.

A beast lived inside Shan Xing.

It howled day and night, convinced that everything in this world was absurd, hypocritical, and ugly.

He would imagine destroying a building, burning a famous painting, or even destroying himself.

He was one step away from madness, until he met Tang Qing.

She was the first person who made him feel that "maybe there's something in this world worth holding on to."

-

They met and set off on a journey with no way back.

They watched the coldest sunrises together and waited out the longest nights on mountaintops.

At some point,

Shan Xing began to remember how Tang Qing liked her coffee.

When Shan Xing fell asleep, Tang Qing would gently drape her jacket over him, then stare at the brightening sky, lost in thought for a long, long time.

They began talking about the things they could do "when we get back."

"When we get back, I want to adopt a cat."

"When we get back, I'll take you to eat the wontons downstairs from my place."

They had been accomplices, each set on dying.

But they became each other's reason to stay alive.

It turned out they only wanted to put an end to their pain, not to their lives.

● A girl who wants to end her pain * and a boy at war with himself

● Two mad souls gazing up at the stars from the abyss

On a winter morning in 2025, the day we had agreed to watch the sunrise together, we kissed.

That sunrise was ordinary,

but we both felt we could watch it one more time.

Later, we fell in love.

We decided to try loving this world one more time.

[Reader advisory]

Happy ending. Mutual healing, two wounded souls finding warmth in each other.

They will slowly learn to reconcile with the world through love.

The story has a slow build, but is romantic to the core.
