On an old street, Shi Qianmo and Xu Yiyan grew up together, promising to stay by each other's side. But a family crisis tore them apart, and after years without contact, they had no choice but to part.
At high school, they meet again, and their old feelings immediately resurface. From accidental brushes in their new surroundings to spending their days together, their love grows stronger. They finally get together in their senior year. Later, Shi Qianmo inadvertently learns that the man who hurt her older sister was Xu Yiyan's stepfather. Heartbroken for her sister, she is consumed by anger and pain and resolutely decides to break up. As time passes and Xu Yiyan keeps noticing things, he begins to feel that there is more to the story than meets the eye.
