Synopsis:
My version of Hikaru Shindo is OOC! OOC!! Read with caution! Hikaru is a little mentally unstable, maybe even a tiny bit yandere??

After Sai Fujiwara disappeared, the genius Go player Hikaru Shindo entered a period of growing pains.
It seemed that all those carefree days spent together had been preparation for the painful days that lay ahead.
Insomnia, auditory hallucinations, and visions were his constant companions. But he bore them gladly. He would pay any price to bring Sai back to his side, even if it meant never playing Go again, even if he became Sai's puppet.
After the Hokuto Cup made the Go world take him seriously, Hikaru had to confront the decline of Go in his country. The top players hoarded their knowledge, while second- and third-rate players had no games to play.
Sponsors were dwindling, and the country's attitude toward Go was making him watch one star after another go dark.
Sai would surely be disappointed when he came back. At the very least, Hikaru had to hold on until then.
He would change everything that was wrong and make sure Sai could play Go to his heart's content when he returned.
The seven major titles and the four minor titles: he was determined to claim them all.
The old families' obstruction and the Go Institute's suppression couldn't keep a genius down.
That familiar face: was an old friend returning, or was it just wishful thinking?
A world champion attracting attention, appearing on TV shows, and promoting Go through online livestreams.
Hikaru Shindo didn't just want to light other candles. He wanted the flame to burn brighter and brighter.
Bonus Scene 1
A lavishly generous young man came to the Star Religious Group.
As its leader, Suguru Geto naturally had to take care of his biggest patrons. Looking at the young man before him, he gave a soothing smile. Most followers opened their hearts to him because of his friendly appearance.
Such a wonderful youth. Why could monkeys live carefree lives while sorcerers had to fight disgusting monsters to the death?
Satoru Gojo handed Suguru Geto's belongings to a young man. He studied the boy closely, wondering what sort of person could have made Suguru Geto spare him in his final moments.
He had a frail, delicate body, but his eyes held a sick, stubborn, utterly reckless light.
But none of that had anything to do with Suguru Geto.
Bonus Scene 2
Geniuses exist to be admired by mediocrities. Jinpei Matsuda rescued a battered young man, only to learn the reason the culprit had attacked him was: "I couldn't beat him at Go."
"I'm going to spend my whole life living in his shadow!"
The protagonist is a genius, adored by everyone.
There probably won't be a specific pairing in the main story.
This is not a one-person-only romance. The protagonist will probably have some exes and such.
Theme: A Go player's mission is to pass the flame on
