Lotus Born from Red Roots

A short story, just for fun.

Red Boy never dreamed that the protagonist of the stories he'd heard all his life would become his lover, and judging by his attitude, there would be no returns or exchanges.

"What are you staring at? We're just dating. Why are you being as stubborn as a bull?" Nezha held Red Boy's hand tightly, afraid that if he let go, the bull would run away.

"I'm not! And I have bull genes, so mind your own business!" Red Boy's face turned bright red.

"Of course it's my business. You're my bull now. Even if the Great Merciful One came, I wouldn't give you up." Nezha pushed Red Boy down onto the bed, his expression dead serious. "Since you said you like me, remember this: if you dare to follow in your father's footsteps, don't blame me when lotus flowers sprout and bloom from your body."

"Never leave me. Love me forever. Always look up to me. Never betray me."

Nezha held tight to the body that had also been born from a lotus. Where the other couldn't see, his face showed a sick, satisfied smile.

How alike we are. We were made for each other.
