A devil-cult young master with a cool, indifferent exterior but a naturally earnest sense of justice, adorably airheaded and prone to flirting, as the gong × a Sword God senior with a carefree, dashing exterior but a cold, ruthless heart, fiercely protective of his own, as the shou
Yu Lanqing, the only son of the leader of the Huaiyu Sect, was regarded as the sect's precious jade and treasured above all else.
Yet as the young master of a devil cult, he was born with a strange sense of justice and loved nothing more than standing up for the wronged and drawing his sword to help.
Before entering the Central Plains, Yu Lanqing had always thought his father was merely the leader of an ordinary sect.
Because
"The young master is here!"
Someone gave the warning, and everyone promptly dropped the "targets" they had been dragging around and began watering flowers, feeding fish, planting vegetables, and raising chickens.
Seeing this peaceful scene, Yu Lanqing narrowed his eyes in satisfaction:
Not bad. Our sect has excellent values.
But behind the flower bushes, beyond his sight, crimson liquid trickled slowly, making the flowers bloom all the more brilliantly.
After turning twenty, Yu Lanqing decided to find a birthday gift for his father. He left the Huaiyu Sect and ventured into the Central Plains.
Everyone in the sect was deeply worried, and reports of the righteous path being secretly harmed by the devil cult grew much rarer for a time.
On his quest to find a birthday gift, Yu Lanqing remained true to his original intentions, championing justice wherever he went.
Later, the people of the jianghu came to call Yu Lanqing the Jade-Faced Guanyin
A female disciple of Lingxi Valley: "The Huaiyu Sect is absolutely not a devil cult. Young Master Yu is chivalrous and compassionate, and should be a model for the righteous sects."
An elder of the Qingfeng Sect: "That young Yu is a paragon of virtue, truly a rare talent. My disciple pales in comparison!"
The enigmatic Sword God, who came and went without a trace, stroked Yu Lanqing's wrist bone:
"Young Master Yu, would you let me be the sharp sword in your hand?"
Yu Lanqing pulled his hand away and refused with an expressionless face:
"No. The Tianshu and Tianxuan swords have been with me for twenty years. I can't just abandon them."
The Sword God: ...I don't mean I want to be an actual sword, hey!
The skies were clear and the air was fresh, making it the perfect day for Young Master Yu to uphold justice (crossed out) attract admirers, and for Sword God Mu to keep playing the leaf-protector (crossed out) following him around.
Watching the bandit before him shed tears and vow to turn over a new leaf, Yu Lanqing smiled, his lips curving like the pure, bright moon:
"You're a good person."
After Yu Lanqing left, the bandit sneered, planning to avoid this Jade Guanyin next time. But someone pressed a sword to his throat.
Mu Luexing raised an eyebrow, nonchalant:
"Do as he says, or... buy yourself a coffin."
The bandit burst into tears.
"Senior, you're standing too close."
"Young Master Yu, this is what close means."
Later, Yu Lanqing returned with a gift, and everyone in the sect wept with joy.
They brought beautiful flowers, plump fish, tender vegetables, and round eggs, hoping the young master would take a look and perhaps reward them with a smile.
They never expected an unwelcome guest to follow Young Master Yu. He was a stranger to them.
"Who goes there? Why have you trespassed on our sect's territory?"
The leader of the Huaiyu Sect pulled his precious only son into his arms and glared at the stranger.
"This junior is Mu Yizhi. I have come to visit to ask for the young master's hand in marriage."
Mu Luexing, who had rarely shown anyone much courtesy, bowed to him properly.
As expected, the response came like thunder splitting the clouds:
"Get out!"
"Right away~"
Once the eyesore had disappeared, the sect leader lovingly stroked Yu Lanqing's hair and asked who that man was, and whether he had bullied him.
Yu Lanqing blinked and replied:
"He's the gift that came with my birthday present."
After some thought, Young Master Yu added:
"He never bullied me. Though he does cry on my bed every night. He looks rather pitiful."
"Dad! Why did you fall over?"
Older man and younger man, both each other's first and only love, HE.
