Yun Ye is the most notorious villain in the cultivation world. At the mere mention of her name, every man with even a little cultivation would tighten his belt. She practiced sinister arts and killed several powerful cultivators. Countless followers rallied behind her, and even when she was surrounded and doomed to die, she remained arrogantly untouchable.
All of that is just the backstory. Yun Ye is a character who lived three hundred years before the male and female leads, so her role is basically no role at all. Her once fiercely loyal subordinates try to resurrect her, and the leads foil their "idiotic" plot. That storyline takes up less than a fifth of the original novel, and Yun Ye herself only exists in passing mentions. She doesn't even get a single line of dialogue.
But now she opens her eyes to find a graceful, otherworldly figure silently weeping in front of her. A wicked fire rises in Yun Ye. Cry, cry, cry, and you'll cry all your good fortune away.
Also, how is she awake? She should have been dead ages ago! How far has the original story gotten? Is it really appropriate for a great villain like her to wake up now?

Reader's Guide:
1. Female lead is not a virgin; male lead is. The female lead practices sinister arts and had many lovers three hundred years ago.
2. There is little distinction between men's and women's status in the cultivation world. The mortal realm is a matriarchy.
