Who says his life is hard? His life is great.
Through his own hard work, An Huici eats discounted convenience-store bread for all three meals, rents a basement room in Seoul, and calmly smacks to death the eighth cockroach he's seen today.
After An Huici does a good deed, a talent scout won't leave him alone. He signs an acting trainee contract with no benefits and nothing but obligations. Once his acting is deemed good enough, he's told he's switching from acting to being an idol.
When An Huici debuts as an idol, the CEO initially promises he'll be the group's visual center and only have to stand still and sing. After debuting, he's forced to become an acrobatic idol.
His life is just great.
Content warnings:
1. Set in the Korean entertainment industry. The male lead is BTS's eighth member, born on December 25, 1992, and the second-oldest in the group.
2. The main story takes place before his debut and during his years of obscurity.
3. Realistic in tone. The author wanted to read stories about life in a rented room but couldn't find a suitable substitute, so they wrote one themselves, focusing on this unusual period.
4. The male lead is ill: a gloomy, aloof nihilist. Male-male romance, with him as the bottom.
5. The other BTS members may be out of character. The author won't deliberately vilify them, but fans are advised to read with caution.
Theme: A love mixed with hatred and jealousy is how he first learns about love.
