Jiang Ni has a strange ability. Every night, she enters a dream. The settings change, but the same person is always there.
The woman wears all kinds of bizarre outfits and approaches her, bathed in a strange red glow.
The intense pressure is terrifying, and Jiang Ni can't help wanting to run.
But whenever she tries to flee in a panic, her legs go limp below the knees, as if she were trying to run through water.
The woman grabs her by the ankle. Excitement gleams in her blood-red eyes, and a wicked smile spreads across her face.
Her sharp fingernail slides across Jiang Ni's cheek, pressing harder and harder. The ticklish sensation turns prickly, raising goosebumps all over her skin.
"Don't kill me!"
The dream ends in an instant, and Jiang Ni lets out a sigh of relief.
Thinking it was only a dream, she finds herself savoring it in the daylight: That female ghost was actually pretty. If she weren't trying to kill me, that is.
The dreams continue night after night: Jiang Ni runs, and the ghost pursues her. Jiang Ni suddenly wonders if she has some strange ability that lets her enter another world in her sleep.
Before long, though, the female ghost seems to lose interest in killing her. When she appears, she just stands there.
Jiang Ni gradually lets her guard down.
But one night, the woman quietly sneaks up behind her and wraps her in her arms.
"I like you..."
In clumsy Chinese, she whispers a love confession that sounds terrifying.
Is this the prelude to her figuring out how to kill me?
Jiang Ni immediately runs away.
And so a new round of her running and the ghost chasing begins.
But this time, the ghost isn't chasing her life. She's chasing her.
