Ralph is a vampire who fears sunlight and can't taste delicious food, yet has only a human lifespan. That's the pain of being mixed-blood.
But, “Mom, can't vampires have children?”
“Of course they can, through IVF, darling. We're vampires, not relics of the past.”
So Bayern fans have had to accept that there's a defensive midfielder on the team who's allergic to sunlight.
“Does it make any sense for a footballer to be unable to go out in the sun?”
“Hoeness is really letting Ralph stroll around the pitch during afternoon matches?”
“But he's really good at playing at night! Anyway, all the important matches are at night...”
His good friend Muller sometimes teases him for being so pale. “You really aren't a vampire, are you?” Ralph wants to say, “You guessed it,” but he's only ever drunk blood from blood bags, and it doesn't taste good. He really can't understand why his family is so obsessed with it. Football is much more interesting to him.
But losing makes it no fun, and that striker in the yellow shirt is especially annoying. After the national team match between Germany and the Netherlands, Ralph runs into him in an empty corridor and grinds his fangs in frustration.
The two eventually get into a fight. But when Ralph catches the scent of blood coming from the other man's mouth, his expression changes.
Lewandowski, just as furious: “Wait, what are you doing?!”
The vampire setting includes lots of personal headcanons. The protagonist definitely won't be prevented from playing football. This is fundamentally a football story, with very little fantasy content.
Main team: Bayern. National team: Germany. No transfers. Pairing: the Polish Dancer, with the protagonist as the bottom.
Here's a preview of another story (2025.2.17). No idea when I'll write it.
Theme: Finding victory and love through football
