Pure-blooded vampires can give any species the first embrace and turn them into their familiars. Familiars retain only some vampire traits. Apart from immortality, they can eat ordinary food normally and only crave the blood of the pure-blooded vampire who gave them the first embrace.
Drinking blood causes intense pleasure, both for the one drinking and the one being bitten.
