On the surface, Chen Ciyan is an award-winning screenwriter caught up in a plagiarism scandal. Behind the scenes, she's the head of Ji Qingyun's anti-fan site.
When she's so broke she can barely afford food, someone messages her through the site's backend:
"A company is interested in your script, White Lotus. Are you interested?"
Chen Ciyan is overjoyed. "Absolutely! Have you picked the lead yet?"
The reply: "Ji Qingyun."
Chen Ciyan: "..."
Chen Ciyan: "I'm not selling."
Ji Qingyun suspects that Screenwriter Chen has a crush on him.
Not only does she buy him his favorite triple-shot black coffee, she also takes his work very seriously, pointing out ten thousand flaws in his interpretation of his character every day.
Unable to suppress the flutter in his heart, he stopped Chen Ciyan after a shoot one day.
To his surprise, she looked nervous, as if she were embarrassed to talk to him, then turned and hurried away.
The white-lotus character in his new drama unexpectedly improves Ji Qingyun's public image. He brings flowers to thank Chen Ciyan, only to get an inexplicable scolding.
"You abuse dogs!"
"That's fake."
"You're a diva!"
"That's fake."
"You bully your juniors!"
"That's fake."
"You're secretly dating behind your fans' backs!"
Ji Qingyun pauses, taken aback.
"But I'm not. Didn't you just turn me down?"
