I'm a loose immortal who cultivated from a koi fish. By “loose immortal,” I mean that I wander the human world. My favorite thing is to lie by a river, lake, or sea, anywhere at all, and watch the moon. If there's a lotus nearby to give me some shade, and I can circle around it a couple of times when I'm bored, then that's one of the finest pleasures in the world.
Come to think of it, my favorite hair ornament is shaped like a lotus, and I also have a lotus-shaped defensive artifact. It's lovely to curl up inside and sleep. Lotuses really are wonderful.
Recently, I met a high god who seemed rather mysterious. Right off the bat, she asked me a question that showed no sense of personal boundaries at all.
“Do you want to become a dragon?” she asked me.
“No. Why would I want to become a dragon?” I replied firmly.
“...Your markings are pretty.” She thought for a long time, then started making things up.
