Aoya was a golden dragon. One day, she found an injured human. She had planned to keep her as a snack, but when the human woke up and saw the cave full of jewels, she said, heartbroken with envy, that Aoya was such a wasteful dragon who had no idea how to manage her wealth!
Aoya was baffled, but her instincts told her the human was looking at her treasures in a strange way. She opened her enormous jaws, ready to give the human a baptism in dragon drool.
Sui Wan suppressed her longing gaze and said earnestly, "I can manage your finances and help you with things. I'm very useful, and I know all about those dragon-slaying heroes."
She gestured at a huge circle. "Keep me, and I can multiply your assets several times over!"
Aoya looked at her suspiciously, then at her treasures, imagining several times as many. Her mouth watered, her heart itched, and so did her claws.
"Really?"
Sui Wan confidently puffed out her chest. "Of course."
"Then... sharpen my claws."
Aoya put one of her enormous claws in front of Sui Wan and asked her to sharpen it.
Sui Wan: "??"
She had planned to swindle the silly dragon out of her money and run away. Now she looked at the sharp claws before her, then at those clear eyes. "..."
"You don't want to? You just promised to be my servant!"
Aoya smashed the hard rock in front of her to pieces, looking ready to throw a tantrum if Sui Wan refused.
Without changing expression, Sui Wan shielded her face from the flying rock fragments and picked up a stone to sharpen Aoya's claws. Calmly, she said, "Of course I want to. Why wouldn't I?"
With that, she did her best to grind Aoya's claws down to nothing.
You stinking dragon, just you wait!
One day, every last one of your treasures will be mine!
.
Bored Aoya: "Find me a hero to play with."
Sui Wan went off with a fake smile and sent word to the strongest hero in the neighboring kingdom, saying a dragon was about to trample his country and he should hurry up and slay it.
Aoya followed the directions to the spot, tilted her huge head at the hero holding up his shield, then chased him around, roaring. "This is fun!"
Sui Wan, the culprit behind it all, praised her without batting an eye. "Amazing! These heroes are no match for you."
And just like that, she took the treasures from the defeated heroes.
Until one day, the mightiest hero on the continent arrived at Dragon Valley, determined to take Aoya's head.
Looking at the pitifully battered Aoya, Sui Wan rubbed her hands together, rolled up her sleeves, and pulled out the sword she'd been hiding for ages...
"Damn it, that's my dragon!"
