Oh, My Heavenly Emperor (Demon Child Di Long Dong Huang Taiyi X Ao Guang)

I started this fic when Ne Zha 1 came out. When Ne Zha 2 came out, Ao Guang’s peerless beauty as a dragon dad rewarded me, so I hurried to scatter some dirt over this abandoned pit.

At the end of the Xia and the start of the Shang, Ao Guang lost two sons, the bone of a yellow dragon that was the birthright of his beloved, the Heavenly Emperor Donghuang Taiyi, and, in the end, his partner.

At the bottom of the East Sea, he killed his Heavenly Emperor with his own hands and devoured his flesh, then imprisoned him in a dragon pillar until several hundred years later, when the Shang gave way to the Zhou.

At last, he had his chance.

A tragic pair of lovers who live and die together, endure hardship together, and raise a young Heavenly Emperor. The old Dragon King has a mysterious background.

There are absolutely no scumbag men here.

A mythological Yellow Dragon Consort trope mixed with a time-spanning mash-up of Investiture of the Gods. The premise is eccentric and wildly imaginative, with plenty of mystery.

Lots of original worldbuilding and out-of-character behavior everywhere. If you can handle it, read it as an original story. If you can’t, feel free to click away.

So, is the style a total disaster?

Theme: Is your lover in their reincarnation still the same person?
