The Heiress's Ambition to Protect All Living Things

[A spendthrift heiress who pursues her dream with single-minded determination x an irreverent, penniless immortal]

A major incident took place in Tingzhou.

The eldest daughter of the Ling family was actually insisting on abandoning the world to cultivate the Dao.

She was willing to give up all her family's wealth, yet kept declaring that she wanted to right the world's wrongs, eliminate demons, uphold the Dao, and protect all living beings.

She even came up with a proper Daoist name for herself: Wanping.

No one could talk her out of it.

The first step in cultivating immortality was to cast off worldly distractions.

So without hesitation, that very night she threw away her jeweled hairpins and ornaments, and took off her silk clothes.

She threw them away without a second thought.

Only

"Miss, don't throw those away! Please think twice!"

A pained voice came from the corner.

Ling Wanping looked up, and a person suddenly appeared before her.

The person wore a gray Daoist robe with wide sleeves and a wooden crown.

Their clothes were spotless, their robes fluttering in the breeze.

A Daoist!

Ling Wanping's eyes lit up.

"This humble Daoist divined that you aspire to cultivate the Dao."

Ling Wanping nodded.

"From meeting you today, I can tell you have a pure and sincere nature and the strength to protect the people. You truly are an exceptional talent."

Ling Wanping nodded vigorously.

"Since you care about the world and wish to help all living beings, would you be willing to help me with an urgent problem?"

Ling Wanping nodded decisively.

"I'm hungry."

Ling Wanping brought food to the famished Daoist.

As the Daoist wolfed it down, they suddenly looked up.

"Thank you for the meal, Miss. I'm Xiang Li Tizhong, more or less an immortal. As a reward, make a wish."

Many original additions to the setting.
