Returning to my comfort zone with an immersive journey to the Tang Dynasty. A slice-of-life story. (The manuscript is in progress, but the book hasn't launched yet. I clicked the wrong button before.)

Shen Ling transmigrated.
The good news: Her new body came from the prominent Shen clan of Wuxing. Her cousin was the Empress Dowager, her nephew was the emperor, her father was the Minister of Works, her mother was a Lady of the State, and her uncle was a Grand Preceptor. More than a hundred members of her family were high-ranking officials and nobles.
She married a man described in the historical records as "brilliant and illustrious, endowed with every virtue, intelligent and pure, filial and utterly kind, eloquent and graceful, clear-minded and radiant." In short, he was a peerless handsome man, skilled in both letters and arms, brave and resourceful, and upright in character! And he would become emperor in the future!
Shen Ling: ~~~(*^▽^*)
The bad news: Her cousin, the Empress Dowager, had disappeared. The titles bestowed on her birth family were posthumous honors after the entire clan had been wiped out. Even her husband's title of emperor was posthumous!
Her husband himself would become the greatest victim of the An Lushan Rebellion, dying young with no wife or children. And she was merely an unranked concubine in his household, never mentioned in the historical records.
P.S. The An Lushan Rebellion would break out in just fifteen years.
Shen Ling: T_T!!!
Question: What can a lowly concubine of a young prince do to punch Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, kick Emperor Suzong of Tang, save herself, her family, her clan, and her husband, prevent the An Lushan Rebellion, and save the Tang Dynasty?
Shen Ling: "…"

According to the historical records:
Li Tan, the third son of Li Heng, Emperor Suzong of Tang, was brave, resolute, and talented, and excelled at riding and archery. He was first enfeoffed as the Prince of Jianning while still a grandson of the emperor.
After the An Lushan Rebellion broke out, he followed Emperor Xuanzong of Tang into Shu. He was the first to urge Crown Prince Li Heng to split from Xuanzong, gather troops to fight the rebels, and head north to Lingwu. Along the way, he led several hundred elite cavalrymen into battle, fought at the front of his troops, and won victory after victory, earning great merit.
He was known for his loyalty and forthrightness, which earned him the enmity of the powerful eunuch Li Fuguo and the favored consort Zhang Liangdi. In 757, during the Zhide era of the Tang Dynasty, he was falsely accused and sentenced to death by his father. In the first year of the Baoying era, Emperor Daizong of Tang, Li Yu, took the throne and posthumously bestowed on him the title of Prince of Qi. He was later posthumously honored as Emperor Chengtian and reburied at Shunling.
Looking back on his short, tragic life, Li Tan concluded: I lived too uprightly, and my death was no injustice.
In 907, Zhu Wen poisoned Emperor Ai of Tang, the last emperor of the Great Tang, and the dynasty fell. At the same time, Li Tan, the sunny young man (gloomy old ghost) who had drifted above the Great Tang for a full hundred and fifty years, was reborn.
