This blurb was finalized on February 18, 2025.
The Zoldyck Family loves each other dearly. The protagonist is not Killua genderbent, but Killua's twin sister.
Qi Ya is an odd child, born with a disease unlike any other in the world.
Excerpt 1.
Qi Ya asked, "Who are you?"
Illumi was speechless. "I'm your big brother."
Qi Ya asked, "And who are you?"
Killua collapsed. "I'm Killua!"
Qi Ya asked one last question. "Then who am I?"
The whole Zoldyck Family cried, "You're our little Qi Ya!!!"
Qi Ya: "..."
The whole Zoldyck Family watched her nervously.
Qi Ya: "...Oh."
The whole Zoldyck Family fell into chaos.
Excerpt 2.
Killua: "How come I've never seen you be this strong before?"
Qi Ya: "Because it's a hassle. Anyway..."
Killua: "Yeah?"
Qi Ya: "I forgot again!"
Killua: "What do you remember, then?!"
Excerpt 3.
Illumi started with his needle technique.
Qi Ya's neck slowly turned, inch by inch, and she beat the crap out of her big brother.
Illumi was left bloody and battered. Qi Ya had exhausted all her mental energy, so she promptly fell into a peaceful sleep.
Illumi: "...Little Qi Ya is so well-behaved when she's asleep!"
Excerpt 4.
On a dark and windy night.
Illumi's sneak attack failed, and he got whacked instead. A Nen needle pierced his hand.
Qi Ya smiled sweetly. "If Big Brother tries to do something to me that I don't like, I'll stick this in your head instead. Then you'll have no choice but to let me control you."
Illumi smiled too. "Little Qi Ya wants to control Big Brother? But you can't do that just yet."
Qi Ya: "If I controlled you, the first thing I'd do is transfer all the money in your account to Second Brother so he can buy snacks."
Illumi: "...Big Brother won't do anything at all."
Qi Ya: "Clean up the mess you made, Big Brother. Good night."
Qi Ya fell fast asleep, while Illumi diligently wiped the floor.
Excerpt 5.
Illumi: "What a pity. If I failed, Little Qi Ya would have stuck a hole in me."
Qi Ya said gently, "I can't guarantee you'd survive if I stuck your head. I'd stick your face instead, I suppose. Don't worry, I'm not that cruel."
Qi Ya: "Big Brother, if you want to be a good big brother, you should talk normally, too."
Her big brother tilted his head. "I'm not talking normally enough?"
Qi Ya nodded. "Learn the art of communication."
Author's Note:
This is part of my blurb-bait series. The novel is written in first person. The extras might switch to third person. I'll write whatever I feel like, so there may be all kinds of AUs mixed together.
Honestly, I started out wanting to try a new writing style. Then I found that writing about the Zoldyck Family's love for one another, and the tensions and thoughts between family members, was really interesting. The protagonist isn't exactly nice. Since the story is told in first person, and we follow the protagonist, not everything she describes is necessarily true. What she sees, thinks, or deduces may not be true. If you want to know how the Zoldyck Family really feels about the protagonist, you can't just rely on what she thinks.
Love and hate, greed, jealousy... Every emotion is complicated, and several can exist at once. Nothing is purely good or bad. They mix together into shades of gray.
If anyone feels out of character, that's because the author isn't skilled enough. The world of the original series is truly brilliant in its portrayal of human nature.
Personally, I think it makes for a better read if you immerse yourself in the story, but whether you do that or not is up to you.
The main plot doesn't start until much later. The beginning is all lighthearted everyday life, mainly focusing on her time with family and friends. Of course, this is definitely a story where everyone dotes on the protagonist.
Theme: Finding yourself, loving your family, and loving freedom
I'm a little confused, but I want to see the follow-up
Teacher likes this very much, will it be updated again? 🥺🥺❤️
Nice! Super pretty! I wanted to read a story where the protagonists are the Killua twins and then I came across this one. The narrative angle is also very unique. I loved it so much! I offer my knees to beg for updates!!
