On hiatus.
I can't seem to get the feel of this story right (T_T). I'll come back later to revise it and fill in the gaps. When I do, I'll replace the whole thing. Sorry.
■ Marriage first, love later / Long-planned scheme / Seven-year age gap
■ Capricious heiress × seemingly unbothered, secretly brooding man
Rumor has it that Jiang Cen, the spoiled heiress, is arrogant and thinks the world of herself. She never expected to get married so young.
Her arranged match was Si Heng, the famous venture capital CEO who dominated the business world with ruthless decisiveness. Yet he was pushing thirty and still unmarried. How strange.
Jiang Cen thought he was too old and ran away from the wedding to find her boyfriend.
Then she met a gentle, composed older man, who coaxed and tricked her into going home with him. Bandages wound around her injured hand, and the tender gaze beneath his fringe was utterly captivating.
So she dumped her boyfriend and confessed to him.
Si Heng replied calmly, “I'm engaged.”
“Oh. I guess we're not meant to be...”
The man's playful expression made the young woman break out in jealous goosebumps. “No, we're very much meant to be: my fiancée.”

Only after they got married did she realize how good Si Heng was at putting on an act.
To outsiders, he was a refined gentleman. In private, he held her by the waist and coaxed her again and again:
“Cen Cen, tell me you love me.”
“You can lie, too.”
Unfortunately, Jiang Cen only loved herself and had no idea how love worked. Si Heng had no shortage of admirers either, so they each played the field. They were a perfect match.
She knew he had someone else in his heart and eagerly waited for a divorce.
On a night of torrential rain, Jiang Cen had no choice but to check on her “mute groom.” [Waaah, hubby, where are you?]
Remembering how his wife had been cozy with another man that day, he felt miserable. Who was that guy, anyway?
He didn't like this feeling.
He stroked her soft lips. “What will it take to make you stay by my side?”
Jiang Cen gave up trying to care. “Whatever!”
“Can you really be so casual about this?” His hand came to rest on her lower belly. “Mrs. Si.”
