In the original story, the fake young master injected the protagonist with a drug that turned him into an omega out of jealousy. He would go into heat periodically like an omega and need an alpha's pheromones to soothe him.
Yu Jin: Tch.
Yu Jin: I'm the best at going against the world!
Yu Jin broke the high-quality drug that the original story repeatedly called [the one and only], giving the protagonist his freedom.
The world's will was enraged and punished him.
Yu Jin was injected with an inferior drug.
Compared with the [one and only] high-quality drug in the original story, it had two differences:
1. The original drug took effect periodically, but this one was random.
2. The protagonist in the original story could be soothed by an alpha's pheromones, but this drug had no such effect. The person injected would suffer when they smelled pheromones from their own secondary sex, yet their body would still crave the other person.

Yu Jin doesn't love anyone. He firmly believes that the plot has twisted everyone's true feelings and that they act differently toward the protagonist and pursued partner not because they like him, but simply because they think he hasn't been tainted by the plot.
Most of my energy is going into completing another novel before publication. This one is written whenever I feel like it, so updates are extremely irregular. I'll post something when inspiration strikes, so read at your own risk.
