Wisteria drapes over cloud-reaching trees,
Its trailing blooms thrive in the spring sunshine.
Dense leaves shelter singing birds,
Fragrant breezes linger around fair maidens.
-- "Wisteria Tree" by Li Bai
A brooding, tsundere, cold-faced, secretly adorable male role model of the immortal sect x a naturally gifted, knight-errant-syndrome, shamelessly forward heroine
Once the darling of heaven, a young woman wakes to find her reputation in tatters. She's become a heretical demoness whom everyone wants to see punished.
Even as they curse her, people lament how glorious her life was when she rose to fame at a young age.
And even as they lament, they curse her for betraying her sect and siding with the enemy.
When listing the immortal sect's greatest disgraces, hers is sure to be at the top.
In response, legendary scapegoat Bai Suiqiong says: In other people's eyes, whatever I do, I'm the best at it.
Top of the class, a dragon among men, outstanding, extraordinary, incomparable, peerless, one in a hundred thousand!!!!
[The heroine is an upstanding citizen and a good person]
[Devoted to each other, childhood friends]
[The male lead has a secret crush but keeps quiet; the heroine likes him without realizing it]
Theme: No matter how loud the gossip gets, I'll follow my heart and face the world.
