Zhong Linglong thinks she's an utterly ordinary NPC. Though she doesn't get along with the Zhong family, all she wants at the Zhong residence is to keep her distance and watch the drama. But in the family's eyes, she's a force of chaos, taking on everyone and everything:

Her eldest male cousin mocks her for not knowing table manners. She immediately shoots back, "Do you have to yap so much over a meal? Careful you don't eat the wrong thing."

That very day, her eldest cousin leaves her behind and takes his younger siblings to eat exotic delicacies. He eats the wrong mushrooms and ends up sprawled in the hospital emergency room, unable to utter a word.

Her second male cousin ridicules her for being uneducated. She sneers and warns him, "A toad carrying a paintbrush, pretending to be cultured."

Not long afterward, during an interview for a special feature, he gets mocked online for repeatedly mispronouncing the names of important Chinese scientists.

And when her grandmother, who favors boys over girls, glares at her and pounds the table, Zhong Linglong cries out dramatically, "Careful! This old European glass tabletop can't take all that banging!"

The next moment, everyone sees shattered glass across the floor and an elderly woman looking deeply shaken.

If there weren't extenuating circumstances, the Zhong family would have long since given this seemingly innocent girl a thorough dressing-down for turning their household upside down.
