After death, people are reincarnated. Only those who die with unfinished wishes become ghosts, lingering in the mortal world for a long time and waiting for [someone who can see them] to guide them onward.
A ghost girl who doesn't know who she is or how she died wakes in a cold, lonely mountain forest. It takes her just 0.1 seconds to realize she's dead.
Suicide or murder?
The ghost girl has no idea how to be a ghost, but she hasn't seen any others like herself. That means the mortal world isn't where she belongs, so she devotes herself to finding a way to move on.
After waiting day in and day out for ten years, she has been forgotten by both the living and the dead. Then someone holds an event called a "test of courage."
She still doesn't understand, but the kindhearted ghost girl decides to add a real ghost to the event!
The ghost girl points a lost boy in the right direction. Nervously trying to cash in on the favor for the first time, she asks, "You're the first person who can see me. Could you help me find my body?"
The boy promptly faints.
Sawada Tsunayoshi joins a spectacular test-of-courage event in a mountain full of wild animals. He doesn't run into any beasts, but he does see a real ghost.
After fleeing home, Sawada Tsunayoshi can't stop thinking about the ghost girl who timidly asked him for help. His conscience won't leave him alone, so he goes back. From then on, he's haunted by the ghost.
An old-fashioned Namimori school uniform, a disappearance from ten years ago, a shrine on the mountaintop, a lucky charm, their first meeting years ago...
As the investigation deepens, the truth is gradually revealed.
The ghost girl, having recovered her real name and body, embraces him. Her voice is as gentle as a kiss.
"...You found me."
- Pairing: 27
- The story includes spiritual power, but it isn't a traditional logic-based mystery or crime-solving story. There are plenty of romance scenes.
- The heroine is a pitiful girl with a gentle but timid personality. There is no evil transformation or revenge plot, and the villains will be brought to justice! Some parts of the story are quite intense, so please read with care if that's not for you!
- They heal each other. There are sweet moments and tearjerkers (the subject matter makes the latter unavoidable), but the ending will definitely be happy, so enjoy!
