The Gentleman and His Little Wolfdog [Ancient Meets Modern]

Mu Hansong was once a schoolteacher. He died young, then transmigrated from the Great Yan dynasty to the modern world, where he was just as estranged from his family. On his twenty-sixth birthday, he never expected to suddenly receive a precious and unusual inheritance.

"Mr. Mu, according to the will, you will inherit one hundred percent of the Wanqi family's assets, including three villas, seventy percent of the shares in two private companies, a property in the neighboring province... and a child husband." The lawyer finished reading the list of assets in his hands and pushed up his glasses.

"Sorry, Lawyer Wang, did you just say that was a brand name?" Mu Hansong took a small sip of tea, his long fingers wrapped around the bone china cup, and gently corrected him.

"No, it's the child husband Ms. Wanqi arranged for you. Under the agreement, he will care for you in sickness and in health, keep you company whenever you feel lonely, and fulfill your needs whenever you have them..."

Ding! The teacup lightly tapped the table, sending ripples through the pale brown tea.

...Absurd.

"You're still too young to understand what love and responsibility mean."

Mu Hanyan stood by the desk, set down the calligraphy brush in his hand, and gently stroked the fuzzy head of the man kneeling before him.

"I'm five years younger than you, but I know this: if you don't want me, then I'll just be your younger brother." The man stood up, the muscles along his back rising and falling like mountains.

His frame gradually towered over the elder before him. He looked down at the surprise in the other's eyes, leaned close to his ear, and softly whispered the last half of his sentence:

"But if you want me, then I'll be your husband."

Every night, I'll be your husband.

He saw his beloved clench his fingers, but his face turned red.

1. A sweet modern romance in a world where same-sex marriage is legal. Probably a medium-length story, though I'm not sure how long it'll be. This idea came to me suddenly, and I'll end it when the inspiration runs out.

2. I'm busy with work and often have to work overtime. I'll take a break if anything comes up.
