It’s Only Natural to Fall for Everyone’s Favorite

[The 'everyone's favorite' in the title refers to the top. Yiqi You (top) x Xie Zhu (bottom)]

1.

Burdened with a debt of a million yuan, Xie Zhu gets introduced by the owner of his part-time workplace to a job paying a five-figure monthly salary.

The job is simple: clean the house, do the laundry, and cook.

The only thing they keep repeating is that he must be careful not to fall for his gentle, handsome, universally adored employer.

Xie Zhu stands there expressionlessly as the owner talks for nearly twenty minutes. Several previous employees, men and women alike, had been fired for falling for the employer. All of the employer's friends and colleagues, and everyone who'd ever spent time with him, liked him.

"You're quiet, smart, efficient, and you care about nothing but money. That's why I want you to try taking care of him."

Xie Zhu really is quiet, so quiet he can go a whole week without saying three sentences. After listening, he tugs at the corner of his mouth and, in a rare moment, delivers a long, emotionless reply.

"If I can keep working as long as I don't fall for him, then I can do it until he dies."

2.

Xie Zhu keeps his word. He's been working for three months and hasn't fallen for his employer at all, because he hasn't even met him. Every day, his employer has already left by the time he arrives, and hasn't come back by the time he leaves.

His idea of his employer is limited to the photo hanging in the living room, which he saw on his first day cleaning, and the white, sheer, lace-trimmed, narrow-waisted underwear that needs to be hand-washed and lies in the laundry basket.

He's lost count of how many times he's washed it over the past three months.

So when he finally meets his employer in person, Xie Zhu can't help imagining what's beneath those neat clothes... He can't believe someone like that would wear something like that...

3.

Much later, when the owner repeats the whole story about the universally adored employer and says that every single one of his friends likes him, Xie Zhu looks at the owner, his voice cold and his eyes dark.

"What about you?"

"You're his friend. You like him too."

[Reading Guide]

1. The top is universally adored, and lots of people have one-sided crushes on him. The bottom pursues the top: bottom >>>>> top.

2. The bottom is a virgin; the top isn't. The top is the bottom's first love, first kiss, and first everything. They have a seven-year age gap: the top is 24, the bottom is 17.

3. The bottom is useless and weak at first, but gradually grows stronger in every way, including height and personality.

4. The top has no interest in cross-dressing; there's another reason for the lace underwear.

5. The cover is a premade template bought from a group. It isn't based on either character's design; I just thought it looked nice.

6. The opening section is from the bottom's point of view, and the rest is from the top's, so the story is categorized as top-focused.

7. I'm constantly revising. Please bear with me.
