The Immortal Tree of Liyue Takes Root in Teyvat

Thanks for asking. I was camping out in a field, playing Genshin Impact while keeping an eye on my thesis. When I opened my eyes, I found I couldn't move.

Rooted in another world, Weiyang paid no attention to the blocky inscriptions that looked familiar but remained unreadable. With no tolerance for a single bug in sight, she pursued the Abyss and finally transformed from a tree. That very night, while trying to catch the Abyss bugs above her giant-tree neighbor's head, she tore up the strange yellow words buried beneath her branches.

During the Lantern Rite, she accidentally turned all the greenery in Liyue Harbor a ghostly, eerie blue. The awful Morax, who was still in office, "exiled" her to the diplomatic frontier, where she could eat her fill and wait to die.

As a tree, she now hated fire more than anything. Yet to get the cultivation recipe for a Smoke-Mystic Plant, she had no choice but to cross the desert to Natlan.

In a modern, graffiti-covered dragon kingdom, completely unlike the primitive tribes she had imagined, she fell in love at first sight with a dazzling woman whose eyes held the sun.

Mavuika, who had only recently returned to life from the Sacred Flame, took off her helmet. Her flame-like hair flowed in the sunlight.

The other girl's eyes widened. She immediately changed to a look of disgust, cursed under her breath, and walked off without looking back.

The early chapters focus on Liyue's history. Natlan only appears in the middle and later parts, and the romance develops later on.

Her relationship with Azhdaha is strictly that of a mother and daughter (crossed out) father and daughter (?)

In short, it's a very, very wholesome family bond.

The main story takes place in Liyue and Natlan, with some scenes in other regions.

The tree is a ginkgo. In my version, she wards off evil and resists the Abyss.
