When My Fan Became My Sister-in-Law

Singer Wen Jinxian meets a very unusual "fan" at her new album's signing event.

The woman steps onstage with a blank expression, yet says all sorts of caring things.

Wen Jinxian smiles at her. Another adorable fan who's too nervous to smile.

The next day, her grandmother urges her to come home and meet her "future sister-in-law."

The moment the door opens, Wen Jinxian freezes. It's the very same "fan" from yesterday.

Thinking of her brother's true nature, she has an unusual fit of kindness:

"Since you're my fan, hurry up and break off the engagement."

"If you want to see me, just buy a ticket. No need to make such a sacrifice."

The woman cuts in coolly: "I'm not your fan."

Lu Huanian goes to the signing event only to fulfill the dream of a sick student.

But Wen Jinxian is like an unavoidable storm, sweeping through her life.

Until one day, Wen Jinxian corners her in a dimly lit alcove, her fingertip resting lightly against Lu Huanian's lips, her breath burning hot:

"Ms. Lu."

"Weren't you going to be my sister-in-law?"

Her hoarse voice shatters every one of Lu Huanian's defenses.

"Then who... are you kissing right now?"

Later, Wen Jinxian releases a new single, its lyrics bold and suggestive, sweeping the charts.

At the celebration banquet, a reporter boldly asks, "Was this song inspired by someone in particular?"

Wen Jinxian smiles sweetly at the camera, but her gaze drifts to Ms. Lu, who's about to leave from a corner of the banquet hall.

"Of course. It's for someone who... always says my songs are no good."

The next day, #WenJinxianMuse and #WenJinxianNewSongClapsBackAtHater both trend.

Lu Huanian looks at the news on her phone, remembers being cornered in the break room the night before and asked, "So, is my song good or not?" and switches off the screen without expression.

As school lets out, a new message appears:

"So, will you keep being my 'hater sister-in-law,' or become something else soon?"

PS: Until the engagement is called off, both heroines are emotionally and physically devoted only to each other, with no emotional or intimate contact with men.
