01

The witch Maeve needs a dragon scale.

She found her way to the lair of the evil dragon Ashadelon.

"Hello. Could I have one of your scales?"

The lovestruck dragon stared at the powerful, beautiful witch, his heart pounding.

Ashadelon felt himself falling for her. He agreed to Maeve's request on the condition that she help him through mating season.

Maeve agreed too, but as she held her glass instruments, she looked apologetically at Ashadelon, whose eyes were red-rimmed.

"Just bear with it a little longer. I need to collect some more dragon essence."

Silian was confident. She had always looked down on all this so-called romance.

That is, until she opened her eyes and saw a worried-looking man.
