He already had more than enough burdens to bear. He didn't want to take on a child as well.

But out in the wilderness, if he didn't take the baby in, it would surely die.

The child's eyes, flickering in the darkness, reminded him of his first disciple and... lover.

In a moment of bitter confusion, he inexplicably picked up the child and walked away.

The young immortal Huai Ze unexpectedly came face-to-face with his first disciple... and lover, the Immortal Lord Qing Cheng.

Qing Cheng looked at Huai Ze, then at the new disciple by his side. Jealousy surged within him, but his expression remained perfectly calm, as though he couldn't care less.

As his teacher, and as his enemy, Huai Ze knew he had no right to be heartbroken. All he could do was smile as he suppressed the bitterness rising in his heart.

Who could have guessed that late that night, Qing Cheng would come with sword in hand, his shadow cast by the moonlight?

Huai Ze had no time to be surprised before he felt warmth against his lips.

Qing Cheng finally kissed the lover he had thought of day and night...

Short skit

After the two archrivals finally get together

Ye Song confesses: "Can't you tell? I regret setting you up with someone before. I got jealous. I like you."

Yu Liang goes quiet, then says, "I like you too."

Before Ye Song can react with shock and delight, Yu Liang adds, "I'm just saying it. Anyone can move their lips and say that."

Ye Song nearly dies of anger.
